In late 2020 we enlisted the help of Techmatics NZ with building a custom robot with multiple capabilities for our inspection requirements. Ravi was fantastic to communicate with and kept us up-to-date with progress all the way through the build. It was a new robot for Techmatics but was met as an exciting challenge. The robot is capable of both commercial, residential, Wi-Fi and tethered inspections, stormwater pipe inspections, culverts, both in thermal & RGB images, the list goes on, a truly versatile robot. The customisation work that was put into the robot is simply outstanding. We look forward to exploring other opportunities in the future as we expand and look at adding to our robotic fleet. It is a great addition to our aerial and underwater drone assets.

Techmatics was contracted by Waste Management Christchurch municipal collection to develop and supply an app to be used with a standard mobile 3 G phone to enable the phone to be mounted on the dash of the fleet vehicle. The application that has been tried and tested has enabled the drivers to take a 3 photo sequence of any property that has not put there collection bins out for collection. The application has been developed over time and enables the information to be monitored in real time and has a number of other applications that can also give Waste Management some up to date information on missed bins, contaminated bins and locations of the fleet vehicles in real time.There are number of ways this application can be use to give different information at different times. To date the application is working well with the use of a standard 3G enabled mobile phone. Techmatics have shown real commitment to the project and have been very professional and pleasant to deal with.
